Thomas Earl “Tom” Patterson – Chattanoogan.com
Thomas (Tom) Earl Patterson, 92, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 9, 2021.
What his family and friends remember most of Tom was his strong beliefs, love for family, laughing at a good joke, dancing an Irish jig, and beautiful singing voice. Tom belted out his big bass voice, sang solos in church, and serenaded his kids as they grew up. Although Tom worked in sales, his real job was putting his faith into action. He worked enthusiastically in the leadership of the Hickory Valley Christian Church and the Mountain View Christian Church. In his final years he attended the West Village Christian Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and the Jefferson City Christian Church where he made friends and a denomination.
He was married to his beloved wife and best friend Louise B. Patterson for 64 years until her death in 2014.
He leaves behind two sons, Steven Wayne Patterson and Thomas O. (Teresa) Patterson, daughter, Wanda P. (Ed) Kelley, seven grandchildren: Christina Patterson, Leanne (Marty) Feagins, Grace and Blake Neal, Meghan, Erin and Ross Kelley and two great-grandchildren, Graham Reed and Declan Oliver Feagins
