Theresa Rosalie Toscano Obituary – Cape Cod Times

Theresa Rosalie Toscano, loving matriarch to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, died on February 21, 2022. She was born on April 27, 1929 and was happily married to Anthony Toscano for 52 years. She spent her early life in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to Westchester County. She attended Pratt Institute but retired after her father’s untimely death to run her family’s church art restoration business. After raising her three children, she began working as a real estate agent and excelled throughout her career both in Scarsdale, NY and later in Orleans, MA.

Her friends were many! She forged lasting relationships with her neighbors, as well as with her co-workers and clients she met during her years at Kinlin Grover, Orleans. She worked until she was 88, always the professional and supportive friend to everyone. She took pride, happiness and satisfaction in finding the perfect home for each client.

She leaves her loving children to Dr. Robert R. Toscano and Dr. Maribeth Toscano (spouse), Diana Toscano-Gross, Loretta Toscano-Daley and Robert Daley (spouse). She is raised by her extraordinary grandchildren Laura Toscano and Tom Steffes (fiancé), Dr. Robert A. Toscano and Dr. Jillian Dur (spouse), Elise Toscano and Roberto Bettega (spouse), Jennifer and Michael Goodfriend (spouse) missing. Carla Gross, Henry Gross and Julia Shor (fiancé) and Claire Daley. Her great-grandchildren are Bennett and Sylvie Toscano and Russell Goodfriend, who will learn more about them as they grow up through retelling the many stories and wisdom their “amom” left behind.

We hope you will remember our mother and “Amom” as a woman of integrity with a strong loyalty to her family and friends, who was always willing to help without expecting anything in return. During her time at Maplewood at Brewster, she found her strength in knowing that God was with her. She showed infinite kindness and love to everyone and never stopped being thankful for everything life had given her. Even in her final days, her positive spirit inspired us and will live on through all of us who were lucky enough to have known her.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on March 19, 2022. It begins at 10 am at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Orleans, MA, with a reception immediately following.
