Mary Shuber Obituary – Ocala Star Banner

Mary Shuber, 91, of Belleview, died February 15, 2022. She was born September 5, 1930 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Her husband Bill Shuber preceded her in death.

She is survived by sons, David of Mathews, VA and Daniel of Richmond, daughters, Deborah Ransom of Stratham, GA, Dina Dunnington of Aurora, IN and Donna Plaster of Belleview, FL, 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary worked for the Navy Department in Washington, DC for ten years, was a partner in a real estate and insurance company for five years, and owned her own hobby handicraft business in Virginia before retiring to Florida.

In Florida, she served on the board of directors of the Oak Run Homeowners Association for four years, hosted a small Christian congregation for a number of years, and was a member of the Requiem Choir while a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. After joining St. Theresa Catholic Church, she led Cursillo/Ultreya and two of the Why Catholic groups.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 9 a.m. at St. Theresa Church. A celebration of life will be held at noon on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Silver Springs Moose Lodge, 7165 SE Maricamp Rd. Ocala, FL 34472. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Theresa Church Building Fund, 11528 US Hwy 301 Belleview, FL 34420 in memory of Mary.
