City of Aurora Opens 2022 Facade Improvement Matching Grant Program
ReProm clothing swap
Over 1,000 dresses are available. All are contemporary and either new (with tags) or like new. Anyone wishing to shop at ReProm must go online or make an appointment. No walk-ins will be allowed. Participants are asked to bring one formal dress in a clean, ready-to-wear condition in exchange for a new or lightly worn dress. Dresses must match current formal fashion trends to qualify for an exchange. Long formal dresses can be exchanged for any other dress. Short dresses can only be exchanged for another short dress. All dresses may not be accepted for exchange. Dresses with rips, stains or broken zippers and fasteners will not be accepted. Participants should be prepared to make a donation if their dress is not accepted. Those who do not have clothes to exchange are welcome to make a cash or check donation instead. The formal clothing exchange is not an on-demand program. It is open to all and is based on the principle that buying something to wear once is extremely wasteful. The program saves money and reduces waste by reusing items that would otherwise be used only once. ReProm is open to everyone and is not exclusive to residents of Dearborn County. Appointments can be made online at www.dearborncountyrecycles.com/reprom or by phone at 812-926-9963.
