Beautification Board makes awards for well-groomed sites – The Madison Record

MADISON – Colorful flowers, fringed lawns and stately trees all add to the pleasant atmosphere of a city.

In Madison, each year a city-sponsored panel of volunteers identifies businesses, medical practices and homes of all types that deserve recognition for enhancing Madison’s quality of life.

“Each year, the Madison Beautification and Tree Board awards beautification plaques, plaques and certificates to recognize the efforts of homeowners associations (HOAs), businesses and landscapers in their efforts to beautify the city of Madison through tree, perennial and annual plantings,” Brian said Goodwin. Goodwin is President of the Facelift Committee.

Of 81 properties that participated in the assessment, 65 locations received Beautification Awards.

“These plantings help improve our city and make it a beautiful place to call home,” Goodwin said. “As President of the Madison Beautification and Tree Board, I want to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of the properties and businesses that participate and beautify Madison each year.”
